Landscape of Energies

2-acres site design, planning and landscape architecture for 319 families residing in high-rise housing development in Pune city, India.

The site has nine energy points and the design of this landscape called for integrating these nine points with vaastu-shastra and human behaviour creating a strong geometric pattern.

The landscape concept draws heavily from Christopher Alexander’s Pattern Language (1979):

“Pattern language combines geometry and social behavioral patterns into a set of useful relationships, summarizing how built form can accommodate human activities”

Effectively, the proposed landscape is a wellness oriented, holistic landscape creating multiple spaces for use, gathering and reflection.
